In December 2007, after working for a local tattoo shop, Bryan and Frank decided to open their own studio. Brass Monkey Studio and Art Gallery was established on January 2, 2008 in the City of Harrisburg's historic district at 202 North Street. Bryan and Frank wanted to open a studio that was a cut above the normal tattoo shop by offering high quality custom tattoo designs for the discerning individual and displaying art by local and national artist in the art gallery.

Bryan and Frank are professional artists with over 20 years experience. They pride themselves in offering the highest quality tattoo artwork in the area.

On May 5th 2008 Mayor Stephen R. Reed officially opened the Brass Monkey Studio and Art Gallery with a ribbon cutting ceremony and presented Bryan and Frank with a proclamation officially making May 5th 2008 "Brass Monkey Studios Dedication Day".

On May 10th 2008 Brass Monkey Studios held its grand opening event attended by over 300 friends and family.

We wanted to establish a professional studio that sets us apart from the second rate tattoo shop. As artists we care about our art and have a genuine concern for the satisfaction and health of our customers. At Brass Monkey Studios we always use new needles and all our tattooing equipment is clean and sterilized in our state of the art sterilization room. Bryan and Frank offer full color or black and grey, custom freehand design and cover-ups.
